Terror threat to U.K. high?

By Hasan Suroor

LONDON NOV 23. Intelligence officials have warned that Britain is not safe, and it is no longer a question of `if' an attack is likely but `when'. "It is not a question of if, it is a question of when. I cannot imagine there will not be an event in the U.K.,'' said Admiral Sir Alan West, a senior figure, as The Financial Times reported that suspected terrorists in London tried to buy half a tonne of toxic chemicals in an alleged attempt to launch a poison attack.

It claimed that they allegedly tried to obtain 500kg of saponin, but their plan was foiled after the suppliers became suspicious and informed the police.
