Letters to the Editor
Sir, If Pakistan has been running the multi-crore stamp paper scam spread over so many States and departments for so long, what has the Government been doing about it? However huge the stamp scam in terms of the money, or the number of people involved, it is nothing compared to the all-out efforts that seem to be on to somehow scuttle the probe into it.
V.K. Deshpande,
Sir, One reads about scams and mega scams involving crores of rupees almost every day. Surely, the perpetrators would have created a lot of wealth. We hear very little about efforts to locate and trace such assets and steps to get them confiscated. Those convicted should not be allowed to enjoy their ill-gotten wealth.
K.A. Madhva Raj,
