Sir, Refer to your editorial "A sage judgment" ( Nov. 20 ). The transfer of the two disproportionate wealth cases against Jayalalithaa and others to Karnataka is welcome. The observation of the Supreme Court, strongly disapproving of the exemption claimed by, and granted to, Ms. Jayalalithaa from personal appearance in the trial court emphasises the principle of equality before law.
