Unnecessary

Sir, — Pension for all MPs irrespective of tenure is astounding when such benefits are not given to even Central Government employees unless they work for a minimum number of years. Even the family pension is too meagre. Pension benefits like `commutation' after surviving for 15 years is difficult to get as the banks are least interested in getting the benefits disbursed. Under such circumstances, is the move necessary?
