Buddhadeb escapes unhurt
SILIGURI,
MARCH 21.
The West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, today escaped unhurt when a vehicle of his convoy hit three security personnel while trying to avoid a cow, which suddenly came in the way.
Police said the accident occurred at Darjeeling Mor near here under the Matighara police station when Mr. Bhattacharjee was on his way back to the city.
The vehicle hit Somenath Sarkar of IB, Kolkata, Arun Chettri, a 10th Batallion constable and Phanindra Nath Roy, sub-inspector, Mathigara police station. They were shifted to a nursing home in the town.
