Advani declares assets
AHMEDABAD,
APRIL 6.
The Deputy Prime Minister, L. K. Advani, and his wife have moveable and immoveable assets of approximately Rs. 1.30 crore, including three flats valued at about Rs. 85 lakh, according to a declaration made by the BJP leader.
While filing his nomination for the Gandhinagar Constituency, Mr. Advani declared before the Returning officer that he had Rs. 6.33 lakh as cash and fixed deposits in banks while his wife, Kamla, had about Rs 1.45 lakh in banks.
Two flats in Heritage City of Gurgaon owned by Mr. Advani costs about Rs. 60 lakh while one in Gandhinagar is estimated at Rs. 25 lakh.
Mr. Advani also invested Rs. 6.05 lakh in non-banking institutions; Rs. 60,000 in debentures, while investments in Templeton India Builders come to Rs. 10 lakh. He has Rs. 4 lakh in ICICI Income Growth Plan and Jewellery worth Rs. 7 lakh.
His wife, besides having bank fixed deposits, invested Rs. 9.80 lakh in Surya Roshini Limited and another Rs. 20,000 in Daural Organics and Swayam Infotainment Pvt Ltd.
The Deputy Prime Minister said he and his wife had no motor vehicle of their own or any agricultural land, the affidavit said. Mr. Advani's liability and dues are to the tune of Rs. 5.54 lakh.
