Accused in Bilkis case surrender

AHMEDABAD, APRIL 28. The doctor couple named by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as accused in the sensational Bilkis Banoo gang rape and mass murder case have surrendered before the Ahmedabad chief metropolitan magistrate.

Dr. Arun Kumar and his wife, Sangita, who had performed the post-mortem examinations on the Panivel mass murder victims, were sent to judicial custody till April 30. The doctor couple is alleged to have aided in the destruction of important evidence to help the accused. They are among the 20 charge-sheeted by the CBI.
