Congress will form government: Azad
By Our Staff Reporter
JAMMU,
APRIL 28.
The Congress general secretary, Ghulam Nabi Azad, said here today that his party would form a government with other like-minded parties as the people of the country have made a decision to vote out the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
"The Congress will form the government at the Centre with the support of like-minded parties who have pledged to defeat the NDA whose policies have been detrimental to the country, whether on the domestic or on the international front. The BJP-led NDA is looking for allies outside the combine as it has lost hopes of forming a government," Mr. Azad told reporters.
That the NDA was not in a position to form a government on its own was clear from the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee's recent interviews in which he had said that the NDA was looking for allies outside to form a government, he said.
