Balram Jakhar tipped to be M.P. Governor

NEW DELHI, JUNE 15. Balram Jakhar, former Union Minister and senior Congress leader, is tipped to become the next Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Highly-placed sources here said today that Mr. Jakhar's name has been cleared for the gubernatorial appointment and a formal announcement would be made shortly.

The vacancy in the Bhopal Raj Bhavan occurred after the death of the then Governor, Ram Prakash Gupta, recently.
