Link works to be expedited

NEW DELHI, JULY 6. The Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad, today promised to expedite rail links between three State capitals and remote areas.

While announcing the completion of the Jammu-Udhampur link, he said work would be expedited on the remaining stretch to Srinagar, and beyond Baramulla. Besides, work will start this year on new lines to Agartala and Imphal (Tupul).

Mr. Prasad promised to announce a timetable for completing these projects on time.
