Ishrat's mother hospitalised

THANE, JULY 6. Shamima Raza Sheikh, mother of Ishrat, who was killed allegedly in an encounter with the police in Ahmedabad, was admitted to a hospital in Mumbra after complaining of hyper-tension. Shamima had been questioned several times by the Ahmedabad Police and this had resulted in her blood pressure shooting up, sources in the family said.

Saqid Khan, advocate for the Sheikhs, told a local television channel: ``We will fight for justice to the Sheikh family till the end'', adding that plans were on to file a petition seeking compensation for Ishrat's death. — PTI
