Recognition for team work: Vikram

CHENNAI,
AUG. 14.
"I am happy to get the best actor award at the national level for the film "Pithamagan." It was one of my best performance and the credit must go to director Bala, who was instrumental, in getting me the award," said actor Vikram sitting in his van.
"When director Bala came to me for his first film "Sethu", he told me about the lead character "Chiyaan." (His fans now calls him as "Chiyaan" Vikram), I was happy to do it. I expected the film to bag a national award and particularly the best actor award for me. But somehow I missed it. ... I think, director Bala created the character of `Chittan' with a vengeance mainly to get me the national award. ..."
"... Each and every film is team work and if I get an award it is for the whole team... ," Vikram said.
