Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's emphasis on making officials accountable, and his advice to have a code of ethics for all individuals in his address to the nation on Independence Day. How far vested interests and officialdom will allow him to move towards his goal is to be watched. We, the citizens, wish him the best of luck though.
R. Madhavan,
Sir, Dr. Singh's address to the nation was clearly from his own assessment of the situation and, more importantly, from his own heart and mind rather than from a ghost writer's pen. Instead of allowing cynicism to take control, we should be positive and give Dr. Singh's Government a chance.
Akshat Sharma,
