Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, OCT. 10. The sky will be partly cloudy with a possibility of thundershower in some areas during Monday evening or night. The maximum temperature will be around 35 degree Celsius and the minimum will be around 26 degrees.

On Sunday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum of 34.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees. The maximum temperature at Meenambakkam was 34.5 degrees and the minimum was 26.6 degree Celsius. The humidity was 79 per cent and 76 per cent. Meenambakkam registered 0.6 mm rainfall.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday in parts of Sowcarpet, Perumbakkam, Ambattur, Alwarpet, M.K.B. Nagar, Perungulathur, Kottivakkam, Tondiarpet, Kodambakkam and Melur areas due to maintenance works.

Blood donation

Vel R.S. Medical College will be organising fifth blood donation week from Monday. More than 700 students from the Vel Tech group of educational institutions have agreed to donate blood.
