KOPPAL, OCT. 26. Nagareddeppa and Yemunappa Kabber have been elected as president and vice-president of the Koppal Zilla Panchayat. They were elected unanimously in an election held here on Tuesday. The Deputy Commissioner and Election Officer, G.L. Chandrashekaraiah, conducted the third phase elections for the two top posts. Only two applications were filed when the election process began in the morning. The other members of the Koppal Zilla Panchayat did not nominate anybody for the two posts. The Deputy commissioner announced the results and said that Mr. Nagareddeppa and Mr. Kabber had been elected unanimously as president and vice-president of the zilla panchayat. He also said that they would be retain the posts for the next ten months. The chief executive officer of the zilla panchayat, Prabahkarappa, was present.
