Seven held in landgrab case
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 2.
Seven persons, including the Ranga Reddy Zilla Parishad Chairman, Kasani Jnaneswar's elder brother, K. Krishna, were arrested by the Dindigal police on charges of grabbing Government land and cheating people. They were produced before the Medchal court and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
Cases were booked against them after the recent demolition of houses at Bachupalli. While the revenue authorities maintained that the land belonged to the Government, occupants of the houses said that they had purchased the land from K. Krishna and others.
