Traffic police gesture

In a rare gesture, the Hyderabad traffic police have announced an ex gratia of Rs. 25,000 to the Call Taxi driver, Chandraiah, who died while rescuing a road crash victim. "The traffic police will contribute from their salary saluting the services rendered by Chandraiah," the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tejdeep Kaur Menon, said today. Chandraiah used to help police in rescuing and shifting road crash victims to hospitals.
