U.S. Consulate reopens in Mumbai
MUMBAI,
NOV. 24.
The U.S. Consulate and the American Centre in Mumbai, which closed yesterday owing to a perceived terrorist threat , today resumed normal operations. "The office opened today and all business transactions are being carried out as per the normal schedule," a U.S. Consulate spokesperson told PTI here. Visa seekers, who had to return yesterday following the sudden closure of the Consulate due to reports that American interests could be targeted by terrorists , were given required information , the spokesperson said.
