East Bengal drubs Tollygunge

KOLKATA: Kingfisher East Bengal drubbed Tollygunge Agragami 3-0 in the opening match of the first Manchester United under-15 Premier Cup's India round here on Wednesday.

Former internationals including P.K. Banerjee, Prasanta Banerjee, Mohidul Islam, and Indian team captain Baichung Bhutia were present during the inaugural ceremony.

The results: Group I: East Bengal 3 (Biswajit Natta, Abhijit Mondal, Lalmuanpuia) bt Tollygunge Agragami 0; Mohammedan Sporting 1 (Sumit Biswas) bt JCT Mills 0.

Group II: Mohun Bagan 2 (Dipendu Borua, Malswamzuala) bt Ever Ready Association 1 (Biswajit Haldar); Mahindra United 1 (Navneet Palav) drew with Vasco SC 1 (Xamard Rodrigues).
