Ordinance likely on Friday

New Delhi: The Union Government would promulgate an ordinance on Friday to identify some posts as office of non-profit, sources said here late on Wednesday.A meeting at the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh decided that the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs would meet on Thursday to discuss prorogation of Parliament.

It was attended by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Law Minister H.R. Bhardwaj, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P.R. Dasmunsi, Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal and Union Minister Suresh Pachauri. — PTI
