Dilip, Azharuddin and Sarvesh shine

Hyderabad: Y.R. Dilip (six for six) for St. John's Church Junior College, Azharuddin (138 not out) and P.M. Sarvesh Kumar (six for 36) for Wesley Junior College stole the show on the first day of The Hindu Trophy under-19 cricket championship here on Monday.

A. Siva Harish cracked a double century (203, 29 x 4, 9 x 6) and M. Pradeep (143) and V. Anurag Reddy (106) to help Raju's Cricket Club record an emphatic 238-run win against Acrylic in the C-Division one-day league.

HSBC triumphs

HSBC won the Royal Cup football tournament, defeating Oracle 1-0 in the final here.

The match-winner came through striker Asad.

Dyan Chand hockey

The Hyderabad Hockey Association (HAA) will organise Maj. Dyan Chand inter-schools tournament at the Begumpet Police Stadium on August 29, according to HAA Secretary G. Satyanarayana.

Inter-schools cricket

The seventh St. Andrews inter-school cricket tournament for the Louis Emanuel Trophy featuring 12 teams will commence on Tuesday at different grounds in the City, according to John Manoj, coordinator.

The teams have been divided into four groups and prize money of Rs. 50,000 is at stake by way of winner's purse and other incentives for the players. San Marina Group are the sponsors of the event.
