Vidyashilp Academy registers win

Bangalore: Raunak's 75 and Tejas' four for 26 set the base for Vidyashilp Academy's 47-run victory over Devraj Urs International Residential School in a Parle Cup under-17 tournament match here on Wednesday.

The scores: Vidyashilp Academy 266 for eight in 45 overs (Raunak 75, Ashrith 51) bt Devraj Urs International Residential School 219 in 43 overs (Krishna 48, Rajendra 47, Tejas four for 26).

Royal English HS 161 in 32.4 overs (Vikram Singh four for 15) bt Suman's Convent 20 in 9.5 overs.

Facile win for MAIS

Host Mallaya Aditi scored a facile 3-0 win over Indus International School in the girls under-15 football event of the Mallay Aditi-conducted inter-school sports at the Mallya Aditi grounds in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Weightlifting tournament

Sri Dhavala College, Moodbidri, Mangalore, in association with Karnataka State Weightlifting Association and Dakshina Kannada Weightlifting Association will host the State-level junior championship for men on the college premises from Friday. The organisers expect more than 200 participants and 50 officials to take part in the two-day event.
