Kamini shines for Tamil Nadu

KOCHI: Sixteen-year-old Thirush Kamini's all-round performance (59 and two for 30) helped defending champion Tamil Nadu defeat host Kerala by five wickets in the SBT 33rd South Zone women's cricket championship at the BPCL Kochi Refinery Oval, Ambalamugal, on Saturday.

Karnataka tops the table with seven points.

The scores:

Andhra Pradesh 110 in 48 overs lost to Karnataka 111 for six in 42.5 overs (Sindhu Ashok 32).

Kerala 105 in 47 overs (Vijayalakshmi three for 17) lost to Tamil Nadu 106 for five in 21 overs (Thirush Kamini 59). — Principal Correspondent
