Celebrating dance
NATYARANGAM, A wing of the Narada Gana Sabha Trust, will celebrate its sixth anniversary on February 16 and 17 with performances and competitions.
The venue is the Sabha's Mini Hall.
On February 16, abhinaya competition will be held beginning at 10 a.m.
The participants will be asked to portray a situation, mythological, historical or contemporary. Candidates should register their names at 9.30 a.m.
In the evening, dancers who have performed in the Sabha's monthly programmes will be featured.
A dance quiz, ``Adavallar" (15-25 years) will be a highlight of the programme on February 17.
The qualifying round will be conducted at 9.30 a.m.
At 6 p.m., Rangamalika, Bharatanatyam recital by talented dancers, will be presented.
