THE BHAVAN'S Journal has entered the 49th year on the day the country celebrated its 56th Independence Day. The annual number, priced at Rs. 30, whose cover is adorned by the Mahatma and the Tricolour has Vision of Free India as the theme.
More than 80 persons including Sri Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Dayananda Saraswati, Swami Ranganathananda, the Shankaracharya of Sringer Math among the spiritual leaders and illustrious sons of the soil such as the former Presidents, R. Venkataraman and K. R. Narayanan and the President, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and people from different walks of life share their thoughts about India. There are quite a few articles on poets and saints.
