Sabha festival

SRI THYAGA Brahma Gana Sabha, Chennai, will celebrate its 23rd Isai Iyal Nataka Vizha from December 9, 2002 to January 1, 2003 (and not December 24 as published last week in these columns) at its newly renovated auditorium. The artistes to be conferred the `Vani Kala Sudhakara' biridhu are Manorama (actress and stage artiste), Bombay Sisters C. Saroja and C. Lalitha (vocalists), V. Thyagarajan (violinist), K. S. Rangachari (kanjira artiste) and danseuse Manjula Lusti - Narasimhan. Anaka will receive the Palghat Mani Iyer Endowment Prize (instituted by his granddaughter Nithyasree Mahadevan) in the best Junior Vocalist category.
