Tribute to Abhang singer
THE PERAMBUR Dharma Sastha Baktha Jana Sabha, T. Nagar recently felicitated Abhang bhajan singer Tukaram Ganapathi by conferring on him the title, `Panduranga Karya Thuranthara' at Sri Gnanananda Hall, Narada Gana Sabha, T. T. K. Road. Senior archaka of Pandarpur, Sri Anirudh Baduvae Patel conferred the title.
In his speech Prof. Subramaniam said, "Sri Tukaram Ganapathi's devotional rendering of the abhangs in typical Varakari style in Marathi, and the explanation in Tamil bring great solace to the heart and serenity to the mind''.
Srivanchiam Murali Bagavathar, along with other bagavathars, felictated all the committee members of the Vittobha Bhajan Mandali for their valuable services and grand success of the abhang sankeerthana mela held at Pandarpur.
Tukaram Ganapathi enthralled the audience with his abhang bhajans.
