Virgin Comics features Priyanka Chopra as a princess who fights evil.

Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra is teaming up with Virgin Comics to enter the realm of animated fiction as a new superhero character for comic books, animation and games.

The new content relationship makes Chopra the first Miss World winner to create a superhero property. The new story, which is currently untitled and in development deals with an adopted girl, who discovers that she in reality is a princess with great mystical power and a sworn duty to take down evil. The story is expected to launch first as a comic book series in 2008 and will be followed up with animation games and a film.

Priyanka Chopra said of the venture: “I love cartoons and animation, so this is a dream come true.”
