Accolades for artistes

Shi-ba Sangeetha Sabha is celebrating its fourth music festival with programmes scheduled for eight days.

On the inaugural day, Va.Ve.Su (director of Brhaddvani) gave away awards to eminent music artistes.

In the presence of sabha secretary Satyabhama, the title, ‘Sangeetha Sahrudaya Seva Ratna’ was conferred on mridanga vidwan Umayalpuram Sivaraman and ‘Sangeetha Sahrudaya Sevika Mani’ and a gold medal on vocalist N.C.Soundaravalli.

Maharajapuram Srinivasan was conferred the title, ‘Jaya Ratna’.
