Winter festival

The winter music festival of Sruthi Laya Kendra and Sruthi Laya Kendra Natarajaalaya of Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani begins today, December 15, at the Aasthika Samajan, Alwarpet, 4 p.m.

R. Krishnaswamy, Secretary, Narada Gana Sabha) will be honoured with the Guru Surajananda award and Sudha Raghunathan will be conferred the ‘Gowri Manohari’ award. The award comprises Rs.10,000 and a memento. L. Sabaratnam, Director, Chennai Petroleum, will preside over the function. A minimum entry fee will be collected on both the days and will be given to senior aged musicians.
