Ananda, who received the prestigious Padma Shri this year is also the recipient of other awards like Kalaimamani, the highest state award of Tamil Nadu for arts and the Nritya Choodamani from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.

naugural day of the 52nd Annual Music and Dance Festival on December 5, 2007.
