Cultural programme
Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation presents a special cultural programme, on the inaugural day of the XIV Session of the Tamil Nadu History Congress (State-level conference) at the Senate House, University of Madras.
It will be held on December 14 at 6.30 p.m. Incidentally, the University of Madras celebrates its 150th year of Academic Excellence this year (1857-2007).
Contributions needed
At a distance of 10km on the road from Cheyyar to Arcot, is the village of Budheri, which houses the 150-year old temple of Adi Kesava Perumal. (Cheyyar, in Tiruvannamalai district, is about 40 km away from Kanchipuram.)
Work on the construction of a separate Thayar sannidhiis in progress. Devotees are requested to contribute for the project.

Sivalaya Vazhipadu Manram, Mylapore, solicits donations for the renovation and kumbabhishekam of a Siva temple at Kanur Araivakkam near Meppedu village.
The presiding deity is Srimukeswar and his consort is Maragathambigai.
