Seminar at Kartik Fine Arts
Karthik Fine Arts is organising its seventh dance conference on December 22, 23 and 24. The theme is “Sensuality In Indian Dance.”
Eminent artists will demonstrate and discuss the issue. A website www.natyadarshan.org invites questions and comments to make the discussion in the conference more meaningful.
Day I - 22nd December 2007
9.30 am : The three-day seminar will be inaugurated tomorrow, December 22, 9.30 a.m., by Mrs. Y.G.Parthasarathy. Abhinaya expert Kalanidhi Narayanan will present the key note address.
Leela Samson will present a lecture-demonstration at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., T.M.Krishna will present a lec-dem with Ratna Papa Kumar, dancer from the U.S. as moderator.
On the second day, Odissi exponents, Surupa Sen and Bijoyini Sathpathy, will present a lec-dem (9.30 a.m.) followed by the lec-dem of Sadanam Balakrishnan.
At 11.30 a.m., Chitra Sundaram will present a lecture-demonstration. Hema Rajagopal will moderate the session. The last day of the seminar will begin at 9 a.m., with the valedictory address given V.R.Devika. The events on that day include presentations by Vidya Rao (9.30 a.m.) and Prof. Raghuraman (10.30).
