Music & drama fest

Hamsadhwani will hold its 18th Annual Music and Drama festival from January 12, at the Youth Hostel lawns in Indira Nagar, Adyar.

M.S.Sundara Rajan, chairman and M.D., Indian Bank, inaugurates the festival, dedicated to the memory of Hamsadhwani’s founder secretary R.Ramachandran(RRC).

J. Radhakrishnan, I.A.S, Govt. of T.Nadu, and David T.Hopper, Consul General, U.S. Consulate, participate as guests of honour.

The inaugural function at 6 p.m., will be followed by Mandolin U.Shrinivas’ concert, with Nagai Sriram, Tiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam and Srirangam Kannan.

The festival will also feature special programmes to commemorate the centenary of Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, R.K.Venkatrama Shastri and Pazhani Subramania Pillai.
