An upper air cyclonic circulation also lies over central Pakistan and adjoining north-west Rajasthan, south-west Punjab and western parts of Haryana.
The weather department forecast moderate to heavy rains or thunder showers at many places in Punjab and Haryana, while a hailstorm or thunder squall with wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to hit the plains of the region over the next two days.
