CGHS staff told not to have tea at one place: Minister
New Delhi (PTI): Doctors and staff at the CGHS dispensaries have instructions not to assemble at one place at the same time for having tea, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Friday.
In a written reply, Minister of Health and Family Welfare Anbumani Ramadoss however said they could take tea in their own seats without causing undue inconvenience to the patients.
To another question, the minister replied there was no conclusive evidence on the risk allegedly posed by radio frequency, particularly mobile phones.
But there is a growing body of scientific evidence which has indicated that there are adverse health effects of radio frequency radiation, the minister said quoting Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR).
ICMR will be conducting a study on the subject in two years time, the minister said.
