    Bodo TV channel owner shot dead

    Kokrajhar (Assam) (PTI): The owner of a local Bodo television channel was killed by unidentified gunmen at Chitaguri near Assam's Kokrajhar district on Tuesday.

    Police said 38-year-old Bodosa Narzary was shot at from point blank range by motorcycle-borne attackers at a place nearly three km from here at about 4.15 pm.

    Apart from owning the channel, Narzary was an office secretary of the now disbanded Bodoland Liberation Tiger (BLT) militant group.

    Narzary's attackers fled after shooting him.
