    Kumaraswamy slams Karnataka MPs

Bijapur (Kar) (PTI): Former Chief Minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy on Friday flayed MPs from Karnataka for "failing" to bring the problems of the state before Parliament.

"The Union Government is also mum over the problems which has resulted in continuation of disputes such as the Hogenakkal dispute with Tamil Nadu," he told reporters here.

"All political parties are engaged only in protest (against the Hogenakkal dispute) which is not a solution," he said.

Kumaraswamy termed Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's "Connect with the People" tour of the state as "nothing but to project him as a great leader".

Farmers in the state are suffering due to "unscientific agriculture policy and what is needed is a comprehensive agriculture policy", he said.

On the coming assembly polls, he said "JDS has good fortune in the state and will go it alone in the elections."
