Chennai (PTI): Representatives of the Tamil film industry will undertake a fast here on April 4, condemning the attacks on cinemas screening Tamil films in Bangalore by pro-Kannada groups protesting Tamil Nadu's decision to go ahead with the Hogenakkal water project.

A joint meeting of the South Indian film Chambers, Tamil Film Producers Council and South Indian Artistes Association also decided to suspend members from Karnataka.

The suspension would last till the problem was solved, a release said.

No cooperation would be extended to film crews from Karnataka when they come here for film shooting, editing and re-recording, it added.
