Bangalore (PTI): Titan Industries Ltd has signed a long-term agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand to manufacture high-precision components for a host of units that are used in commercial aircraft.

The units include flap actuator system, engine control system, environmental control system and electronic engine controls.

Noting that Hamilton, a supplier of aerospace and industrial products, was already a customer, Titan's precision engineering division CEO B G Dwarakanath said the agreement further strengthened the relationship.

"Titan has, over the past couple of years, developed over 100 components," a company statement said.

"Hamilton Sundstrand is very keen on growing the supply base in India and has been actively working with a few suppliers," said Hamilton Sundstrand's Supply Chain Vice President Jay Lapointe.

"Titan's pedigree with precision, world-class manufacturing facilities, combined with excellent engineering strength has been a winning combination for us. Titan's consistent quality and delivery performance has given us confidence to further strengthen this relationship," Lapointe was quoted as saying in the statement.
