    Advani congratulates Tendulkar

New Delhi (PTI): Congratulating Sachin Tendulkar for becoming Test cricket's highest run-getter, Leader of the Opposition L K Advani on Friday said the master batsman has scaled the "Mount Everest in cricket".

"It is a proud day for India. Sachin has scaled the Mount Everest in the cricket history of the world, a scale unequal and difficult for anyone to repeat," Advani told PTI.

He is truly an icon of excellence in Indian sports and inspiration for many generations to come, he added. The senior BJP leader called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the achievements of the master blaster.

"The youth of any country are the pulse of the nation and India is blessed with a talented and hard-working youth population who would surely draw inspiration from Sachin to come out with the best in the course of leading the nation to newer heights," Advani said.
