    Vishal-Sekhar wins best composer prize at Asian Film Awards

    Hong Kong (AP): Vishal-Sekhar triumphed at the best composer category for "Om Shanti Om" as "Secret Sunshine", the South Korean story of a widow's mental breakdown, won big at the 2nd Asian Film Awards announced on Monday in Hong Kong, bagging best movie, best director and best actress for Jeon Do-yeon.

    Best actor went to Hong Kong veteran Tony Leung Chiu-wai for his performance in the Ang Lee spy thriller "Lust, Caution."

    In "Secret Sunshine," Jeon plays Shin-ae, a widow who moves to her husband's hometown to start afresh after his death in a traffic accident. Instead, she has to face the kidnapping and murder of her son.

    The lifetime achievement award went to Japanese director Yoji Yamada. Organisers paid tribute to late Taiwanese-American director Edward Yang by showing clips from his movies.

    The Asian Film Awards is organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

    Best film: "Secret Sunshine" (South Korea)

    Best director: Lee Chang-dong ("Secret Sunshine")

    Best actor: Tony Leung Chiu-wai ("Lust, Caution")

    Best actress: Jeon Do-yeon ("Secret Sunshine")

    Best supporting actor: Sun Honglei ("Mongol")

    Best supporting actress: Joan Chen ("The Sun Also Rises")

    Best composer: Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani ("Om Shanti Om").
