Mumbai (PTI): Ashwini Bhave and Sachin Khedekar won the best actress and actor trophy for their performances in `Kadachit' and `Kalchakra' respectively at the Chitrapati V Shantaram awards.

Evdhese Aabhal was adjudged the best film while the critically acclaimed `Tingya' was given the best debut production award, here on Saturday night.

Bipin Nadkarni walked away with the best director award for Evdhese Aabhal. The film won seven trophies including best film and best director.

Pratiksha Lonkar received the best supporting actress award, Ritwik Nadkarni (best child actor), Music (Amartya Rahut), Lyrics (Rakesh Jadhav) female playback singer (Sadhana Sargam).

`Kadachit', which was Ashwini Bhave's debut as a producer too, bagged awards for best story, best screenplay and dialogues.

Saade Maade teen, a remake of Hindi classic `Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi' won awards for best makeup, art direction and male playback singer (Avdhut Gupte).

`Checkmate' won a total of six awards including best costume, sound, cinematography, editing, supporting actor (Sanjay Narvekar) and background score.

`Avhaan' got an award for best choreography (Umesh Jadhav) and Kashmira Shah received award for outstanding contribution by a Hindi artist to Marathi film for `Avhaan'.
