    Web launch of 'Manikantan Geet Mala'

    Kochi (PTI): India Tales Media, a new age media and entertainment company, on Wednesday announced the web launch of 'Manikantan Geet Mala', a devotional album on Lord Ayyappa.

    The music for the album has been composed by Ilaiyaraaja and is being released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

    This is the first time in India that a devotional album is being produced on such a large canvas and is being launched, adopting a unique marketing strategy.

    The first two weeks of the release of the album is dedicated to the fans of the composer and singers. During the week of Aug 22-Aug 28, fans of Illairaaja can long onto the website (WWW,IndiaTales.com/mgm) and order their CDs. Ilaiyaraaja has composed and sung six bhajans for the Tamil version, a press release from India Tales said.

    From Aug 29-Sept 4, fans of other artistes like S P Balasubramanayam, who has sung six bhajans in Kannada and Telugu, can avail of this privilege to buy the CDs. Other singers are Vijay Yesudas, Madhu Balakrishnan and Shankaran Namboodhiri who have lent their voices for the same CD in other languages.

    The Lyricists are Vaali (Tamil), Vennela Kanti (Telugu), K Kalyan (Kanada) and Anil Panachooran (Malayalam). From Sept 5 onwards, the sale will be open to all lovers of devotional music, who can order the masterpiece in the language of their choice.
