Why do recruiters give importance to psychometric tests during
interviews?
SUNDAR
Chennai
Many organisations use psychometric tests for selection and
assessment of their employees. Such tests can be very useful in
helping to identify the best person for a job, or for helping
people to develop professionally and personally.
Psychometric tests like are like litmus tests. Instances of some
questions include - Would you work late at the office to catch
up with backlog? Do you like being part of a team or working
solo? The psychologist assesses what your reaction would be to a
company's corporate culture, the kind of management styles that
you work favourably with and basically try to figure out what
gives you job satisfaction and what doesn't. This helps the
company pick people who best fit into their corporate setting.
