Showing you the veggie path

They had people entwining themselves on trees for the cause of snakes, they put somebody inside a cage to highlight the plight of zoo animals, they put together a quiz on their Web site to remove non-vegetarian thoughts from your brain... Now PETA India is asking you to participate in a referendum of sorts.

The question PETA is asking is `Who is the Hottest Vegetarian Alive?' Before you yawn, `who cares,' look at the list of nominees (step aside ye Oscars) for this `Hot' award ! Bryan Adams, actor, R. Madhavan, yours evergreen `Bade Mia', Amitabh Bachan, Juhi Chawla, Esha Deol, Pamela Anderson, Hema Malini, crooner Shania Twain... getting too hot for you already ?

Even as you try to remain cool as you select the hottest carrot-muncher in town, PETA does not loose the opportunity to hit you yet again with their `are you still not a vegetarian?' campaign.

Have you heard of such things as cholesterol, strokes, heart attacks, hypertension, obesity, cancer... they go on. Phew! Never thought of all this over your hamburger, did you ?

Moreover, point out PETA, some of the nominees for the `Hot' award are well into their fifties and sixties and still have not heard of such things as the `spare tyre', `double chin' or about `the apple look' or even `the pear look'.

On the other hand, these veggies are slim and trim and good looking, PETA reminds you.

Talk of shaming people into veggiehood!
