A dream come true for young ones

YOU MAY not have spotted this group of lucky children whizzing across the city skies. But in case you are inquisitive, they were children from across the country who saw their dream come true when their desire to fly in an aircraft was fulfilled through the Parle-G `My Dream Come True' contest.

This dream flight was organised at the domestic airport here earlier this week and ten children from across the country were taken for a two-hour ride over Delhi in a chartered aircraft. The airplane ride, organised by Parle G, is the first set of dreams to be fulfilled, while the company will continue to fulfil dreams of children in the coming months.

The contest, launched last month, is claimed to be the largest of its kind in the country. The concept, according to organisers, "has been conceptualised in sync with the corporate philosophy of the Parle G brand, which believes in the overall development of the child.'' The contest is organised to encourage children to dream and build a desire to achieve and excel. The dreams to be fulfilled may range from educational scholarships to a trip to Disneyland or meeting with their favourite personality, owning a home, car or even a computer.

Contestants from across the country can have their dreams fulfilled by writing down their dream in any language, in not more than 20 words, tag along two Parle G wrappers of 75 or 100 gm and send their entries to the Parle office. All entries should reach before May 31, 2002.
