Brewing honours

IT IS celebration time for the team from Cafe Coffee Day of Bangalore which won a Silver Medal at the Annual World Barista Championship held in Oslo, Norway, organised by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe.
Vikram Khurana led the Indian team. There were 27 entries from all over Europe.
The Baristas were judged on the basis of aroma, flavour and individuality of their coffee as well as their dexterity and speed on brewing coffee.
Each Barista was expected to create the perfect espresso, cappuccino and a personal ``signature'' beverage.
``Capi Nirvana'' was the signature special presented by Cafe Coffee Day, and this blend is now going to be introduced at its cafes across the country.
