Style & Substance

N.F.VErghese, who died on June 19, was an actor with a difference. He was successful in etching out characters in a different style.

The master actor brought out the soul in many of the roles he portrayed.

As an actor, NF made use of the lessons he learnt from theatre and mimicry to the maximum on screen.

Despite his late entry, he was able to capture the attention of the Malayalam film industry with his extraordinary voice, which could add an extra dimension to his acting.

In "Aakashdhooth'', NF played the role of a villain with characteristic ease. He had acted in more than 100 films.

The actor in him was able to identify the nuances of characters quickly. Directors say that he was always willing to lend that extra effort while performing various roles.

The audience saw his brilliant performances in "Lelam'', "Pathram'' "Ee Puzhayum Kadannu'' and "Spadikam''.
