A veteran
Former U. S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
HIS charismatic charm is still obvious. And so when veteran statesman and former U.S. Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, flew into Delhi and held talks with almost everybody, it was only natural that more than a few eyebrows were raised, forcing him to explain that he was here "on a private visit and to educate myself on the situation in Kashmir."
Kissinger in the course of his meetings with the Prime Minister and others indicated that the U.S. was in favour of a peaceful dialogue between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir problem. Whatever the status of his visit, Kissinger still remains a man to be heard and a diplomat par excellence.
